Hi another bit of bronze again was told by dig organiser that probably modern due to hole but kept hold of it any way gave it a bit of a clean and there is a recurring x design on it I have tryed to show it in photo can just about make it out question is is it modern or did he get it wrong ?
I also think it looks like part of a purse bar https://finds.org.uk/database/artefacts ... id/1072406

It certainly doesn't look modern to me. As stated above, it has the look of a purse bar.

Well done on finding it.
Once again shows the importance of getting photos to the collective.
Not that i would have known but everyone else did and photographic confirmation from The Gleaner , proved it.
Cheers,
Dave.
