PAS scales for photography

These scales are primarily for photographing finds rather than for use in giving a scale for finds ID.

You need image software such as photoshop (or paint.net which I use) so as to manipulate and resize your image before superimposing it onto the scale. Can be a bit of a faff at first but you soon get used to it and it all looks very profeshneal in the end. :thumbsup:

Apparently, there are plans to publish these scales on the PAS recording guides in the future. They range from 2cm to 300cm and if anyone would like a particular size before they're available on PAS, just gis a shout.

PS: you have no idea how alien it is for me to us cm rather than mills or inches which I use all day every day. Something about cm causes me brain fade :lol:

I'll just add that if anyone prints them off then it is best to check the scale against a measure in case they need resizing. Different print programs can have very different parameters. But resizing the find to fit the scale figures too! :thumbsup:
