Hi all!

I was lucky enough to detect a purse spill recently! :D

I would greatly appreciate your ID info on these please, as so I can accurately record them with the PAS.

I have of course reported this to my FLO and she concurs it as such as and therefore constitutes treasure!

I know these are a mixture of Groats, half groats and half sovereigns dating between 1509 - 47.
There is also a Spanish ‘cob’ half real which I would also greatly appreciate some info on this too please.
There is also a poor condition small Medieval hammered coin too that was found in the immediate vicinity, but I’m not sure do to it’s age, if it would be part of the coin spill? :?

I will have to do the ID request in a few posts if ok please, as too many images to post/upload in one go?
11 coins in total!

Many thanks,

Hec

They're all Henry VIII, 2nd coinage, tower groats.

An unskilled labourer earned about 4-5p per day so that’s about 1.5 to 2 weeks wages
