It's not so bad digging a green waste field if there are chances of finding Roman and Hammies - keep going, the hard work is paying off!

I started on these fields about eight years ago and they were vigins  This was one of my favorite fields i found about 40 hammies in the first year including a couple of nice Saxon ones  And more Roman than you can shake a stick at But this was the first Denarius i have ever found in this field . This is the only reason i still go on it if it was rubbish followed by more rubbish then i wouldn't bother .

A very good day’s results
Cheers Cath  i am sure there are more tere so i will carry on with it despite digging 200 holes every hunt for the odd decent find
