Had a couple of club digs on a new farm, slow start last weekend with 1 Treasure item, few hammered etc.

This weekend we had 3 fields to search, 2 from last week and 1"new" one..........

Back story.......... we had 3 fields to search ahead of an Oat crop. We done 2 the week previous, 1 very quiet, 2nd was better with a lovely Tudor hat pin turning up along with 5 hammered coins.

Field 3 was a "non-descript" 12 acres of mud, no features and not near anything like footpaths etc.

3 finders, 1 had the quarter noble, 2 others had 2 sovereigns each..... both had a 1 full, 1 half.

Very likely.

2 were found by a ditch/low hedge, possible landing point and the other 2 opposite side of the field, another ditch/hedge take off?

I`m not a believer in such things, but we found out later that one of our long standing members had passed away Sunday morning, we like to think he was looking down on us. :Star:

RIP Jeff.
