This morning I cut a long tall hedge in my elderly friends cottage at the side of some maize ground. Got to know them through detecting on the fields for quite a few years. It was a favour to them for many cups of tea & cake given over the fence!

Told them about picking up several clay pipes & old pottery in the field. 'I've got some old bottles somewhere' the old boy said. And here they are, I like the older bulb Codd on the left especially. He said he has some more somewhere too.

Lovely to see that codd bottle. Old glass has such a beautiful quality.
