Evening All,
I presumed this was just another tiny roman minim but after cleaning it, it looks too mad even to be barbarous and I think I can see the odd letter on both sides...might it be a Celtic bronze unit or a mad barbarous coin?

Hoping its the latter!

Many thanks in advance for any help!
All the Best
Alexander

The portrait is so bad it can't be imitating anyone can it? And what on earth is the reverse supposed to be imitating?!

I'm pretty sure this is Tetricus I, and believe it or not, the portrait is actually quite good compared to many  The reverse, however...

The legend on barbarous radiates was very often gobbledegook - just there to "look right", and while the usual reverse types were reminiscent of matchstick men (or Mr Tickly from the Mister Men) trying to look like recognized deities, some were totally nonsensical.

To my eyes, that's what makes them special
