Did the final concretion very carefully this morning. It split into many smaller pieces easily thank goodness. The other silver coin is a Gothic Florin, had quite a few of these over the years, but never one from land. They are a beautiful coin.
It has iron & other crusty deposits but isn't bad at all really. The Halfcrown reverse has a more stubborn iron deposit but a couple of days cleaning will be effective, done a few like this before. The coins are actually protected in the iron far more so if they'd been winnowed around & worn thin. There were several small pieces of brass bits & pins in the same cob.
Anyway, will post when the coins together when they have been done.
Cracked out!

Running out of things to say about your beach finds.
Yet another good find.
Cheers,
Dave.

Nice one!
What cleaning method do you use for these? Those concretions look pretty stuck on!

If you are angry you are living in the past,
If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you’re content you are living in the present, and that’s when life all starts to make sense.
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking
