I have no problem with that info Ian
4 of the "personal info" you see are all obsolete as they were all test accounts when setting up the forum , and are now deleted, the other 2 you have the same information as can be found on the forums when logged in :thumbsup:

Really helpful for someone like me and you answered some of my queries. Bloody Brilliant if I'm allowed to use the 'B' word (some people take exception to 'Brilliant') :thumbsup:

Very good video and would be very useful for people not used to forums.

The FAQS page might be "boring" but can answer a lot of the more common questions relating to forums, so I would not delete any of it - but if there are bits you would like to add specific to this forum then go for it.

Two bits I will highlight for members, as they are very useful and will save people time and effort and are often under used

1) The "Delete Cookies" option at the bottom of the page. This can resolve a lot of issues, especially after an upgrade.

2) The "Search" facility, once the forum has been going for a while there is a good chance that a question you are about to ask has already been asked .... a quick search can save you a lot of typing :thumbsup:
A slight caveat is some items might be "time sensitive" so be careful if its an old thread - eg "Can I detect Upper Whatits Under Thingy beach" it might be OK now but in 5 years the council might have changed the rules and banned detecting.

@Evan
You make a very good point about the FAQ's
They do answer many of the problems people new to forums will come up against :thumbsup:

In my defence i am so used to a forum environment that i sometimes forget many people havent used a forum before, so that was a slip of a nervous tongue :thumbsup:

For adding pics I thought that you might have shown the simple dragging across method? :Thinking:

Another bump for our new members :thumbsup:
If you are angry you are living in the past,
If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you’re content you are living in the present, and that’s when life all starts to make sense.
