I found this yesterday and got all excited thinking I’d found part of a vessica seal (number one on my list right now). Cleaning it though and it looks like it might have a pin catch.

Anyone want to offer an opinion on what you think it is and possible age? I’m getting splinters trying not to topple on the brooch side cause I really, really want it to be a seal :(

I think they did have a suspension loop on the back, mine only has a bump where it should be, so yours might be, sorry not much help but hope someone can I/D it for you.

Thank you  It could still be a vessica seal then. It certainly looks the right shape to me, but then I might be projecting what I hope it is

Trying to figure out if it`s oval, Cath.
The text round the edge may add weight to it being a seal.
Reverse of my Vessica with suspension loop.

In case it helps.
Intrigue, oh the intrigue when a partial.
Cheers,

Isn't that just a bit of it that got bent over?
It does look quite seal like.

I’m actually jumping on the seal side. Easylife’s suggestion that it’s the bit at the back that is bent over makes sense. Plus I can see a feint line so I think it is now. Thank you, well chuffed :D
