Bronze early piece, but what?
I'm bamboozled with this item. Its three inches length, cast, curved, broken & tapers at one end. File marks on back too. Dating, I might suggest Med through to 17th - just by 'feel'. Could be something simple I just cannot get my head around though!

Well if it is not a tile adhesive spreader then those teeth either have to be functional or decorative?
I guess it may have been symmetrical so was originally perhaps 4 1/2" or so long? It looks like it has little round attachment points on the back? Maybe part of a double looped purse frame?
