Being in France, I've dug a few of those Charles the Bold Brabant patard jobbers. Mid to late 15th century, of course.
Nice collection. Must have been fun to dig. :Party:

Yep, fairly common here too & they're really good at fragmenting due to the poor silver. ;)

I found another of the same half sovereign , but no point posting up as Allectus has kindly ID them :thumbsup:
It was a real fun day detecting those tbf - I did get a little excited!!! :lol:

:lol: I meant you had a nice collection of coins in that spill. I don't collect patards. Dodgy silver for one thing. Billon is brittle. I've got a few knocking about in one of my cabinets but I have given a lot away. They look impressive and and help sugar landowners. :D
