So Hubby found this silver fob medal in Margate.

It's hallmarked Birmingham 1902.. Not sure on the makers mark of CFA (only cfa voysey is coming up).

I can read:
VICTORIA
A F L
W & R Jr L
WINNERS
1902-1903

AFL.. Australian? As it says Victoria still... Or amateur?

Any ideas please?

Thank you.

Louise 😊

Just to let you know, I've been in touch with the Australian Football League who passed it on to their historian.. He asked me to phone him.. I've asked if I can either WhatsApp or carry on emailing due to cost of phoning Australia!! I'll report back when I've found out some more info!!! 😍

So... Not Australian after all.. Back here in old blighty. The Australian football league gave me this link
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Birmingham_Combination

So it was Birmingham and District Junior league and it was won by Bournville Athletic who represented the chocolate company.. They became Cadbury Athletic in 1994.. And known as The Chocolate Men πŸ˜‚ πŸ˜‚
