Possible zoomorphic pot handle?

The title says it as I see it but my views are generally optimistic!
Perhaps you guys can clarify what this is!
It's a heavy copper alloy handle broken at the flat end with what I think is a laughing(?) face on the end of the curved section!

I don’t think it’s zoomorphic but rather you are seeing the anchor point where it joined the vessel it was originally part of. I think it’s either a handle or some sort of hanger like this one?

Yep that's where my optimism overtakes reality! 😄
The shape is very odd and the flattened end is definitely where it broke, the 'face' and break are at very strange angles to each other tho to make sense of how it joined at either end!
One of those that the Flo can deal with 😉

Interesting!!!
I found a chaffing dish pivot(?) fixing point the previous week, this is considerably larger tho!
