Had a couple of hours out today. It was mainly a button day but did find these 2 bits. One looks like an M shaped badge and the other is a silver gilt mount possibly?

Any help with ID much appreciated

The first is, as you said, a letter M mount or badge. The second is, I think a button minus the loop and centre stone

Thanks Oxgirl, good shout on button for the 2nd item. Did have a button day yesterday found this nice Scottish horse Yeomanry button.

Ties in nicely with yesterday's activities as I'd just come back from a ride on my Clydesdale.

Thanks Oxgirl, Duffy is just a youngster coming up to 5yrs old. We've recently backed him for riding and love taking him out places, I'm lucky in that I can ride over the fields that I detect on., although I've not tried riding with detector in hand yet!

Clydesdales are true gentle giants. Duffy stands just shy of 18hh and is a pleasure to be around.
