Evening all ,
Found this little beauty today . Been struggling for a few hours with the symbology. A red cross moline on a green/blue background . If anyone could shed any light I'd be grateful . Thank you .

Beautiful pendant!

A Google search suggests knights Templar on a white background or Sir Thomas de Beauchamp, K.G., Third Earl of Warwick: died A.D. 1369. No idea if the background colour matches though :problem:

Otherwise a search on PAS might help.
Yes I really don’t like Roman coins, I’m not joking

Thank you very much ,
I saw the Templar reference in my search but discounted it because of the background colour . Searched also using green and blue background but also no matches . The shape is also less common with only a few others suspended from the point rather than the lobe . Will have a look at Thomas de Beauchamp 👍

Superb find.
So reminiscent of Knights at a jousting tournament.
Cheers,

This could be useful as it is Norfolk specific but I couldn't see much in it. Free download of the book

Update on this . What I thought was a red cross on a green background is in fact A red Cross on a white background . Your can see on the picture the remains of white on the right hand side and the same green is revealed where the gilding has worn away on the left hand side . So my initial thought is a Templar red cross moline on a white background . Apparently it wasn't the enamel that was died , it was painted on using oxides .

Yep, had a look at that one , buy it has the dark ( green ) on the right side . Mine has remnants of white on that side.
