New 4 part series starts tonight on More4 at 9pm. I know a few people involved in different episodes. A mix of previous beautiful detecting finds, the British Museum experts, following people detecting, etc. Just hope it’s good now

If you are angry you are living in the past,
If you are anxious you are living in the future. If you’re content you are living in the present, and that’s when life all starts to make sense.

Bit past my bed time but look forward to catching up with it eventually.

Thanks for the heads up, Cath

I won't be watching anything with a person who dresses up like someone from The Raiders Of The Lost Ark. a turn off straight away.

While watching some of them 'swishing' (or was that first one cutting the grass), I couldn't help remembering that Morecambe & Wise sketch; "He won't sell much ice cream going at that speed    Other than that I thought it was a pretty good prog, a recommended watch.

I watched it last night (it took 24 hours to get the steam pressure up to the needed level on the picture box), and I thought it was good and well worth watching.

But by previous comments I was not the only one to notice the "airbourne" detecting technique.

Just watched the program tonight, and had mixed feelings about it...it was a very pleasant watch and very interesting, but I thought it painted an unrealistically rosey picture of the PAS and also glossed over the friction that's often occurs between Archaeologists and Detectorists...I felt it did portray the hobby in a good light, although anybody outside the hobby might think we all make earth shattering finds worth thousands of pounds when the reality for most Detectorists is rather more mundane...

It was funny watching that episode as I know quite a few of the ladies that were shown. Been a member for a couple of years and it’s easily my favourite FB group :D

Just watched the 2 episodes. I actually really liked this. Very well made. Like other detecting programs, I’m sure the detectorists will cringe when they saw the final cut with them swinging the machine like a golf club and calling themselves a detector….
