Has anyone come across any good deals on spades?
I mindlessly left mine leaning against a gate on my last outing so need to buy a new one. Doh.
I had the BlackAda extended Maximus last time…. It was a great spade but needed regular sharpening but would consider others.

Always carefully proof-read what you've typed to see if you've any words out.

I doubt there’ll be discounts by spade manufacturers as most are pretty small. Your best bet will be a general discount by an MD shop which (historically) tend to be 15-20% across pretty much everything.shaggybfc wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 8:31 am Has anyone come across any good deals on spades?

Black Friday deals on detectors, including the Manticore, are now online from the usual suspects.

I can recommend the Radius pro-lite transplanter spade with a tempered stainless steel blade.shaggybfc wrote: ↑Sun Nov 19, 2023 8:31 am Has anyone come across any good deals on spades?

It has 5 years warranty and I haven’t been able to break it yet.

I've been using them too but only the stainless steel one is currently available in the UK, and it is considerably heavier. If you don't need a big spade radius do a ladies spade in tempered steel for about 25 quid but I've never actually used one.

PS If you do find tempered steel transplanter spades in the UK please do let me know.
